Instant Pot Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz pasta
  • 4 c water
  • 2 T butter
  • 0.5 c cream
  • 0.5 c milk
  • 2 -2.5 c shredded cheese
  • 1 c frozen peas
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 0.5 t paprika
  • 1/4 t black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Add pasta, water, and salt to pot.
  2. Close lid and set valve to sealing.
  3. Pressure cook on high for half the box time minus 1 minute.
  4. Quick release when done.
  5. Open lid, stir in frozen peas (rinse before if frosty or icy), and add butter, cream, and milk.
  6. Add cheese gradually while stirring constantly. Can turn on saute mode if it gets cold.
  7. Adjust texture by adding milk if too thick. Leave it looser if you intend to reheat it later.
